Additional Note: A grocery app is a mobile app whose primary function allows users to order fresh produce and perishables on-demand (e.g., AmazonFresh, FreshDirect, Peapod, Walmart Grocery). This includes meal-kit subscription services, which deliver perishable produce and ingredients for meal preparation on-demand (e.g., Blue Apron, HelloFresh, Plated, Sun Basket). A mobile app is a software app developed for use on mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets; excludes browser-based web apps.
Methodology: Estimates are based on the analysis of survey and traffic data from research firms and regulatory agencies; historical trends; and country-specific demographic and socioeconomic factors.
