Additional Note: A smartphone voice assistant is intelligent software that responds to voice command and runs on a smartphone. Traditional smartphone voice assistants and AI-enabled voice assistant experiences on smartphones, such as AI platforms used in voice mode that function as a voice assistant through spoken interaction, are included. Examples of smartphone voice assistants include Apple’s Siri; ChatGPT Voice; Google Assistant, Gemini-based successor assistant experiences, and Gemini Live; Microsoft’s Copilot Voice; and Samsung’s Bixby. Smartphones are any voice handset with an advanced operating system (e.g., Android, BlackBerry, iOS, Windows Phone) and features/capabilities that resemble a PC.
