The news: Apple will begin selling its own ad inventory on Apple News, bringing the assets under its own umbrella, per Axios reporting.
- Several new ad formats including in-feed ads, banners, sponsored content, carousel ads, and in-article ads will debut on Apple News as part of the effort.
- Inventory not sold by Apple will be handled by third parties—the company announced a programmatic partnership with Taboola this summer.
